The first session of the event, titled the “Judicial Conference” included panel discussions on digitalization of trade finance and virtual assets, UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Transferable Records, the Draft UN Convention on Negotiable Cargo Documents, as well as current trends in dispute resolution in the digital economy. The next session, held in the format “Judicial Roundtable,” continued with exchanges of views on the use of artificial intelligence in the administration of justice, the interrelation between alternative dispute resolution and court proceedings.
The Summit brought together leading representatives of the judiciary from regional countries, academics, lawyers, policymakers, and international experts, serving as a platform for discussing current issues in international commercial law.
The Summit was also important and beneficial for discussing the role of courts in the gradual harmonization of international commercial law through the uniform interpretation and application of UNCITRAL’s legal instruments.
