Azerbaijani Judges Participated in an International Event in Istanbul

From 4 to 6 May 2026, an international event dedicated to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) was held in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye, by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the United States Department of Commerce, in partnership with the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC).
As part of the programme, Ms. Narmin Ahmadova, Judge of the Baku Commercial Court, and Ms. Leyla Aliyeva, Judge of the Baku Court of Appeal, participated in the Judicial Symposium on Commercial Dispute Resolution and the Global ADR Colloquium.
The event provided a platform for an extensive exchange of views on the role and significance of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in modern legal systems, international practices in arbitration and mediation, judicial support for ADR processes, the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards, current developments in institutional arbitration, and broader issues relating to the improvement of the legal and regulatory framework.
The programme also featured panel discussions, interactive sessions, and expert presentations, during which participants examined and compared the experiences and best practices of different jurisdictions in the field of alternative dispute resolution.
