The legislation does not provide the Judicial-Legal Council with authority to check the legality and validity of court decisions. Court decisions are reviewed only by higher courts in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation based on the parties' application.
Persons who wish to register their candidacy for judgeship should send the relevant application and the following documents to the Committee's address hsk@jlc.gov.az in electronic form (in the form of a pdf file) or present them in person:
1. Notarized copy of the identity card;
2. Personnel record form; download
3. Biography; download
4. Notarized copy of the document (diploma) on higher education;
5. Certified (notarized or by a personnel department) copy of the service record;
6. Certificates about health at the address where he/she lives, as well as whether he/she is registered in psychiatric and drug dispensaries;
7. 4 color photos of 4x6 size;
Candidates can submit a certified (notarized or personnel) copy of the service record no later than 5 days after passing the second phase of the written exam.
Persons whose candidacy for the position of judge has been registered will be provided with a relevant receipt of registration.
NOTE: The personnel record form and resume shall be prepared in electronic form, at the end of the relevant documents must be signed by making a note that it was written by the candidate himself with a blue rollerball pen (I wrote it myself and confirm its authenticity with my signature).

The reception of citizens is carried out in accordance with the Rules for the reception of citizens in the Judicial-Legal Council. According to the rules, citizens are received by the Office of the Judicial-Legal Council during all working days, and by members of the Council on the appropriate days of each month (Reception schedule).
Citizens can make an appointment in advance by calling the Council's telephone numbers (012) 510-22-97, 510-82-96 or by e-mail at info@jlc.gov.az, or come directly to the reception.
Applications can also be sent to the official email address of the Judicial-Legal Council (info@jlc.gov.az) or faxed to (012) 510-21-62. Those appeals will be considered in accordance with the procedure stipulated in the Law "On Appeals of Citizens".
