İnformation of the election committee of judges

Within the framework of the measures taken to improve judicial activity, continuous selection of candidates for the position of judge in fully transparent conditions and on the basis of objective criteria is ongoing.

Within the framework of the next competition, a written exam was held on July 21, 2024 in the electronic examination corps of the State Examination Center with 167 judge candidates who were successful in the test exam.

Before the exam, the Judges' Selection Committee prepared case-type questions in criminal and civil fields to be submitted to the written exam in a closed session in that building, after the approval of those essay topics, the members of the Judges' Selection Committee brought those essay topics to the auditorium where the exam was held, under the condition that communication with outsiders would not be allowed. Candidates randomly selected one criminal and one civil question from among those questions. Selected essay topics were announced and candidates were given 4 hours to work on cases.

In the 4-hour exam, candidates must solve the given essay topics and demonstrate their ability to convey and explain the content of the relevant law as fully as possible, and must be able to express the concept of the law.

The examination process was highly appreciated by the observers as a transparent procedure. The results of the written examination will be announced soon after checking process by the members of the Selection Committee of Judges and invited experts by the "double check" method.

At the same time, the acceptance of documents of judicial candidates continues without interruption. The next test will be held on December 15 of this year. The Selection Committee of Judges invites lawyers who wish to become judges to participate more actively in the competition.
