On August 12, 2024, the Judicial Selection Committee held its next meeting.

During the meeting, it was noted that verbal exams were conducted for 80 candidates who passed the written exam. To ensure equal opportunities and objectivity, the Committee members prepared relevant questions shortly before the exam in the examination room.

During the verbal exam, candidates were asked five questions in accordance with the "Rules for Selecting Candidates Who Are Not Judges for Vacant Judicial Positions," which they answered within a specified time frame. The questions assessed the candidates' theoretical and practical knowledge in the legal field, as well as their ability to draw logical conclusions.

It was highlighted that, based on amendments to the selection rules, a psychologist participated in the exams. According to the regulations, the psychologist does not participate in the candidate's evaluation but provides feedback on the candidate’s psychological profile. This feedback is informational and does not influence the exam results.

As a result of the exam, 47 candidates who scored 60 or more points will be invited to the training course. The list of candidates who have successfully passed the exams and are sent to the training courses will be published only with their personal identification codes.

The training course will prepare candidates for judicial activities, covering topics such as modern judicial and legal reforms, ethical behavior of judges, anti-corruption measures, human rights, international legal norms, and common disputes encountered in judicial practice. These topics will be taught by renowned judges and experts, and candidates will also complete internships in relevant courts. Furthermore, candidates will be expected to study advanced practices abroad.

The training course is set to begin on September 2.

It was also mentioned that the acceptance of documents from candidates wishing to become judges is ongoing, and 54 candidates have already submitted their documents for the test exam scheduled for December 15, 2024. The Judicial Selection Committee invites individuals aspiring to become judges to participate more actively in the competition, considering the limited number of available positions.
