As part of the measures to improve judicial activities, the continuous selection of candidates for the position of judge is being carried out in accordance with modern international standards and transparent procedures.

During the ongoing competition, a written electronic exam was held on July 21, 2024 for 167 successful candidates at the State Examination Center.

The exam consisted of two case-based questions in the fields of criminal and civil law, which candidates answered within four hours.

The answer sheets of the candidates were coded and checked anonymously and separately by members of the Judicial Selection Committee and invited experts using a dual-method approach. According to the "Selection Rules for Candidates Who Are Not Judges for Vacant Judicial Positions," the scores in both criminal and civil law areas are summed up and divided by two to determine a final score.

A candidate is considered to have passed this phase of the written exam if their total score is 60 or more, provided that their score on each essay topic is no less than 50.

As a result of the exam, 75 candidates who scored 60 or more points have advanced to the next stage of the competition, the verbal exam. According to regulations, the results of the written exam are published only with the candidates' personal identification codes.

Verbal exams will be conducted starting from October 2024 in a phased manner.

Additionally, it is noted that the acceptance of documents from candidates wishing to become judges is ongoing, and over 100 candidates have already submitted their documents for the test exam scheduled for December 15, 2024.

Considering the limited number of available positions, the Judicial Selection Committee invites individuals aspiring to become judges to participate more actively in the competition.
