Delegation of the Judicial-Legal Council Paid an Official Visit to Turkey
27.12.2024Continuous measures are being implemented to improve judicial activity and to study international experience. Within the framework of such initiatives, a delegation consisting of members of the Judicial-Legal Council, judges of first instance courts, and representatives of the Council’s Apparatus paid an official visit to the Republic of Turkiye from December 23 to 25 of this year.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize themselves with the organization of court work, the rules of judicial monitoring, and the maintenance of court statistics, as well as to study international practices in the relevant fields.
During the visit, the delegation held meetings at the Council of Judges and Prosecutors of the Republic of Turkiye, the Supreme Court, the Justice Academy, Ankara Courthouse, and the General Directorate of Information Technologies. These meetings provided detailed information on the structure, working principles, and monitoring procedures of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors.
In addition, the electronic functions of the National Judiciary Informatics System (UYAP) were explored, and the delegation had the opportunity to observe court proceedings in practice. It was emphasized that the knowledge and experience gained in the areas of judicial monitoring and statistics would contribute to the improvement of Azerbaijan’s judicial system.
This visit also aims to strengthen international cooperation and promote a more transparent and efficient judicial system in our country.
