Judicial-Legal Council Holds Its Regular Meeting

On June 30 2026, the Judicial-Legal Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan held its regular meeting.

Addressing the meeting, the Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council, Mr. Inam Karimov, provided information on the judicial reforms being implemented, the measures undertaken to further improve the administration of justice in line with contemporary challenges, and the tasks ahead.

During the meeting, discussions were held on draft documents prepared by the Secretariat of the Judicial-Legal Council and its working groups concerning judicial activities. The Council approved the “Sectoral List of Documents Generated as a Result of the Administration of Justice by the Courts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Indicating Their Retention Periods, and the Instruction on Its Application”, as well as the revised draft of the “Code of Judicial Ethics”, updated in accordance with current requirements.

The meeting also heard a presentation by the Working Group on the Analysis of the Efficiency of Justice in Criminal Proceedings.

Furthermore, disciplinary proceedings were reviewed, and relevant decisions were adopted.
