A meeting of the Judicial-Legal Council was held

On February 29, 2024, the next meeting of the Judicial Legal Council was held.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Judicial Legal Council, Inam Kerimov, presented information about the recent activities in the judicial field. It was stated that reforms are being implemented to enhance the quality and efficiency of judiciary. The judiciary system is being improved in accordance with international standards, the legislative framework regulating this area is being significantly updated, and the reputation of the judicial authority is being increased.

During the meeting the tasks ahead for  improvement of judiciary in line with modern challenges was also highlighted.

Following this, the report by the Chairman of the Administrative Collegium of the Supreme Court, Khagani Mammadov, on "The Situation of Justice Administration in Administrative Courts" was presented. Organizational, legislative, and judicial activities concerning the resolution of issues arising from the activities of administrative bodies were noted, and proposals for amendments to the legislation were put forward. Detailed information on the number of cases in the administrative courts, the heavy workload, the duration of case reviews among judges, and other statistical indicators were shared with the Council members.

Additionally, relevant decisions were made regarding cases related to disciplinary proceedings.
