Judicial Candidates from the Justice Academy under the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Undertook a Study Visit to Azerbaijan
24.04.2026From 13 to 24 April this year, 59 judicial candidates (including 26 participants attending online) enrolled in the Justice Academy under the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in a training programme delivered by Azerbaijani judges on a range of legal topics.
The programme covered the fundamental principles of judicial independence and court administration, various branches of law, legal drafting skills, and judicial ethics.
As part of the programme, the participants also undertook study visits to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Baku Court of Appeal, the Yasamal District Court of Baku, and the Sumgayit Court Complex to observe court proceedings and gain first-hand insight into the functioning of the judiciary. During these visits, the participants were also provided with a comprehensive overview of the functionalities of the Electronic Court Information System.
Overall, the study visit made a significant contribution to further strengthening judicial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, promoting the exchange of national and international best practices in the field of justice, and supporting the professional development of future judges.
