Information of the Selection Committee of Judges
04.03.2026The Selection Committee of Judges continues the selection process of candidates for judicial positions with the aim of filling vacant judicial posts.
Within the framework of the ongoing competition, an electronic written examination was held on 30 November 2025 for 151 candidates who had successfully passed the previous test stage. The examination was conducted electronically at the electronic examination corps of the State Examination Center of Azerbaijan. During the exam, candidates were required to answer two case-based (casuistic) questions relating to criminal and civil law within a period of four hours.
The answer sheets of the candidates were coded and assessed anonymously, using a double-review method, by members of the Selection Committee of Judges and invited experts independently of each other. In accordance with the applicable rules, the scores obtained by a candidate in both criminal and civil law are added together and divided by two in order to determine the final score. A candidate who obtains a final score of 60 or higher is considered to have successfully passed this stage of the written examination, provided that the score for each essay question is not less than 40 points.
Based on the examination results, 69 candidates for judicial office who obtained 60 or more points have been admitted to the next stage of the competition — the interview stage. In accordance with the rules, the results of the written examination are published only by indicating the candidates’ personal identification codes.
The interview stage will be conducted in stages beginning from April 3 2026.
It was also announced that the next test examination will be held on 28 June 2026.
Taking into account the limited number of available positions, the Selection Committee of Judges invites individuals aspiring to become judges to actively participate in the competition.
