As part of the measures undertaken to improve judicial activity, the continuous selection of candidates for judicial positions is being carried out under transparent conditions and based on objective criteria.

Within the framework of the next competition, a written examination was held on 30 November 2025 at the Electronic Examination Center of the State Examination Center for 151 candidates who had successfully passed the test stage.

Before the exam, at a closed meeting, the Judges Selection Committee prepared case-based questions in the fields of criminal and civil law. From these questions, one criminal law case and one civil law case were randomly selected for use in the examination.

During the four-hour exam, judicial candidates were required to demonstrate their ability to identify and apply the correct substantive legal norms in accordance with the factual circumstances of the case, apply the necessary procedural legal norms related to the resolution of the dispute, and explain the content of the applied norms in the context of the case.

It should be noted that the answer sheets will be graded using a double-checking method, and the results will be announced.

The examination process was highly rated by observers as a transparent procedure.

Interviews with the 109 judicial candidates who had reached the next stage of the selection process have already been completed. The results will be announced soon, and the evaluations of the successful candidates, along with information about their specializations, will be submitted to the Judicial-Legal Council.

The Judges Selection Committee also states that the acceptance of documents from judicial candidates continues without interruption. Lawyers who aspire to become judges may submit their applications.
